All those who share the aims of the Foundation, its way of operating and who, in many different ways participate to create that indispensable connection among the links of a chain that, only if complete can allow to reach a concrete result.
Our thought then could immediately go to those who operate directly in Ethiopia first, and then to those who take care of the foundation in Italy, working in the administration, relationships with the donors and so on.
But considering just them as the most important members of the Foundation would be wrong.
Just by themselves they couldn’t do anything, if they were not supported by all those persons whom, each one in their own way, become a part of the Foundation, and links of that chain that starts in Italy and ends in Ethiopia.
Who are all these people?
All those who financially support the foundation, by private donations, by distant adoption of the Village orphans or of external children.
All those who through the word of mouth, the only means we rely on, talk about us to friends, relatives, colleagues at work.
All those who during events, anniversaries, celebrations, decide to send us a donation or to substitute some of their gifts with a donation and suggest others to do so.
All those who for Christmas choose to send us a donation in the name of the people to whom they would have sent a gift, such customers or employees.
All those who send parcels to Ethiopia, having collected clothes and other useful objects before.
All those who show us their participation sending us letters, to congratulate or to say thanks.
All those who write to us to share personal events, joyful or sad, allowing us to participate to their lives.
All those who write suggestions, ideas, critics, all elements that are very precious to us to constantly improve.
All those who, travelling to Ethiopia, came and visit us to see personally what we are doing.
All those who, whenever is needed, are available to give us their help and professional competencies.
All those who receiving our newsletters, write telling us their comments and feelings, thus promoting that process of personal and deep participation that we wish could involve everyone.
All those who choose us as beneficiaries of the “5 per thousand” from the taxes and invite other people to do the same.
All those who visit our web site, especially those who have the patience to read the many written things, stories, short movies.
All those who, even without making any donation, know and support us with their appreciation and affection.
We can understand that some aspects may appear as theoretic but it is not so. Just think about the fact that if we didn’t have those who give material support, we wouldn’t be able to give any concrete help, and the Village, the Emergency center, the school for the blind and many other things would not be there.
The same for those who make end ship the parcels, who give us the “5 per thousand”, who just use “the word of mouth”. All this is very concrete.
But also those who write, who tell us about their personal things, who send us words of appreciation are so precious to us because they allow us to find the strength , the gratification, the moral support.
It is only by putting all these links together that we can create that chain that keeps together the hearts of all those who in Italy, in all the abovementioned ways, are part of the Foundation and all those who in Ethiopia, receive the gifts that come from the hands and from the hearts.
