The activity of the Foundation in Ethiopia is carried out according to one single project, recebtly approved and extended for the period 2009-2014 by the Government of the Tigray Region, Agricultural Food and Emergency Office; Female Affairs Office; Work and Social Affairs Office, aimed to help the orphan children, children in difficult situations and poor and emarginated women.

More into detail:

• In the Village a total of 100 children including orphans and children in difficult situations shall be assisted (in October 2010 they were already 78);
• The Emergency Center should assist at least 150 malnourished children (in October 2010 we had already assisted 379);
• At least 80 orphans who live out of the Village in families of reference should be assisted (in October 2010 they were already 83);
• Working groups of at least 300 women in situation of poverty should be assisted (in October 2010 the working groups were already 22 to which 217 women were participating);
• Even not being specifically included in the project, the Foundation has nevertheless given medical assistance through local doctors and structures to the poor families, considering the social importance of this need (in October 2010 927 people had already been assisted);

The aims of the project, also determined according to the activity carried out in the first five-years period by the specific needs of the local people and in accordance with the local authorities, can be synthetized as follows:

• Supporting and assisting orphan children and children in situations of difficulty, so to form honest and responsible citizens who will be able tot contribute to reduce the social problems in their area;
• Promoting the growth and development of the children trying to understand their personal interests and gifts also through study and school education so to make them grow as people who will be able to contribute to the development of their society;
• Improving the health and situation of the malnourished children through a food program;
• Improving and promoting the economical situation of the poor and emarginated women through the organization of working groups and their assistance and financial support;
• Promoting the human, social and economical development of the beneficiaries of the project (orphans of the Village, external children, women, poor people, sick ones, etc.) even giving special social, educational and formation opportunities through specific initiatives;
• Giving our assisted ones all the necessary cures, physical, moral and social aids and an integrated education;
• Providing to a global improvement of the situation of persons and families through the activity of the Foundation.
